Multimedia Journalist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Write and report stories for print, online, and mobile platforms.

• Generate and develop local story ideas on a daily basis.

• Utilize social media and various digital tools to uncover breaking news.

• Submit video clips for digital media outlets.

• Foster relationships with sources to break news stories and help shape the news agenda.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree from a journalism school or a related field.

• Experience in a newsroom is a valuable asset.

• Ability to write effectively for breaking news, features, and short-form content.

• Eager to seize opportunities in a daily newsroom environment.

• A persistent investigator, not content with superficial answers.

• A reporter with a keen interest in understanding the events, their causes, and implications.

• Experience and proficiency in video or podcast presentation are advantageous.

• A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle are also beneficial.
