
Multi-State Associate Attorney – Full-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +3 more states.
• Manage cases independently from intake through to resolution.
• Formulate and implement legal strategies grounded in factual investigation and legal analysis.
• Maintain substantial communication with courts, administrative agencies, clients, financial institutions, and opposing counsel.
• Draft and review various legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, agreements, and security instruments.
• Attend hearings and trials as required.
• Engage with Medicaid eligibility and reimbursement, handle administrative appeals, civil litigation, probate and estate claims, and guardianships.
• Collaborate with skilled paralegals and centralized operations personnel.
• Take part in onboarding, training, supervision, mentorship, firm trainings, meetings, hearings, proceedings, and firm events.
• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• At least 3 years of relevant legal experience.
• Active licensure in two or more of NC, SC, TN, and VA; other active licensure may also be considered.
• Excellent written and verbal advocacy skills.
• Capacity to work independently while effectively collaborating with a remote team.
• Strong organizational skills, time management, and personal accountability.
• Persistent, resourceful, and proactive in problem-solving.
• Confidence to take ownership of outcomes from start to finish.
• Willingness to travel for in-person hearings, firm trainings and meetings, and other firm-sponsored events.
• Proficiency in Mac/Apple operating systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with timekeeping and case management software.
• Proficiency with legal research applications.
• Submission of cover letter, resume, and at least three professional references is required.
