This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Manage cases autonomously from initial intake to final resolution.
• Design and implement legal strategies informed by thorough factual investigations and legal analyses.
• Maintain effective communication with courts, administrative agencies, clients, financial institutions, and opposing counsel.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, agreements, and security instruments.
• Attend hearings and trials as required.
• Operate within various practice areas such as Medicaid eligibility and reimbursement, administrative appeals, civil litigation, probate and estate claims, and guardianships.
• Work collaboratively with paralegals, centralized operations staff, and a remote legal team.
• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• At least 3 years of relevant legal experience.
• Active licensure in two or more of NC, SC, and VA; other active licenses will also be considered.
• Excellent written and verbal advocacy skills.
• Capability to work independently while effectively collaborating with a remote team.
• Strong organizational, time management, and personal accountability skills.
• Persistent, resourceful, and proactive in problem-solving.
• Confidence to take ownership of outcomes throughout the process.
• Willingness to travel for in-person hearings, firm trainings & meetings, and other firm-sponsored events.
• Proficiency in Mac/Apple operating systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with timekeeping and case management software.
• Proficient in legal research applications.
• Submission of a cover letter, resume, and at least three professional references is required.
