This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
β’ Manage cases autonomously from intake to resolution.
β’ Create and implement legal strategies based on factual investigations and legal analysis.
β’ Ensure ongoing communication with courts and administrative bodies, clients, financial institutions, and opposing attorneys.
β’ Prepare and review pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, agreements, and security instruments.
β’ Attend hearings and trials as needed.
β’ Operate within the realms of Medicaid eligibility and reimbursement, administrative appeals, civil litigation, probate and estate claims, and guardianships.
β’ Collaborate with paralegals and centralized operations staff in a remote working environment.
β’ Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
β’ At least 3 years of relevant legal experience.
β’ Active licensure in two or more of NC, SC, or VA; consideration will be given to other active licenses.
β’ Excellent written and verbal advocacy skills.
β’ Capability to work independently while effectively collaborating with a remote team.
β’ Strong organizational skills, time management abilities, and personal accountability.
β’ Persistent, resourceful, and proactive in problem-solving.
β’ Confidence in managing outcomes from inception to completion.
β’ Willingness to travel for in-person hearings, firm training sessions, meetings, and other firm-sponsored events.
β’ Proficiency in Mac/Apple operating systems.
β’ Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365.
β’ Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat.
β’ Experience with timekeeping and case management software.
β’ Proficient in legal research applications.
β’ Submission of a cover letter, resume, and at least three professional references is required for application.
