Multi-State Associate Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Independently oversee cases from the initial intake to final resolution.

• Formulate and implement legal strategies derived from factual investigations and legal assessments.

• Engage in meaningful communication with courts, administrative agencies, clients, financial institutions, and opposing counsel.

• Draft and evaluate pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, agreements, and security documents.

• Attend hearings and trials as needed.

• Navigate areas including Medicaid eligibility and reimbursement, administrative appeals, civil litigation, probate and estate claims, and guardianships.

• Involve in onboarding, training, supervision, mentorship, firm training sessions, meetings, and firm-sponsored activities.

• Maintain regular business hours from Monday to Friday in accordance with the relevant U.S. time zone.


⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor from a law school accredited by the ABA.

• At least 3 years of substantial legal experience.

• Active licensure in two or more of NC, SC, and VA; other active licenses may also be considered.

• Exceptional written and verbal advocacy skills.

• Capacity to work independently while effectively collaborating with a remote team.

• High degree of organization, time management, and personal accountability.

• Persistent, resourceful, and proactive in problem-solving capabilities.

• Confidence to take ownership of outcomes from inception to conclusion.

• Willingness to travel for in-person hearings, firm training sessions, meetings, and other firm-sponsored events.

• Proficient in Mac/Apple operating systems.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.

• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat.

• Experienced with timekeeping and case management software.

• Proficient in legal research applications.

• Submission of a cover letter, resume, and a minimum of three professional references is required for application.
