This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +2 more states.
• Manage cases independently from initial intake to final resolution.
• Formulate and implement legal strategies grounded in factual investigations and legal analyses.
• Engage in substantive communication with courts, administrative agencies, clients, financial institutions, and opposing counsel.
• Draft and review various legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, agreements, and security instruments.
• Attend hearings and trials as required.
• Manage tasks related to Medicaid eligibility and reimbursement, administrative appeals, civil litigation, probate and estate claims, and guardianships.
• Work remotely during standard Monday–Friday business hours consistent with the relevant U.S. time zone.
• Travel as necessary for hearings, proceedings, firm events, training sessions, and meetings.
• Engage in onboarding, training, supervision, mentorship, and continuous professional development.
• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• At least 3 years of relevant legal experience.
• Active license in two or more of the following states: NC, SC, and VA; other active licenses will also be considered.
• Exceptional written and verbal advocacy skills.
• Capability to work autonomously while effectively collaborating with a remote team.
• Strong organizational skills, effective time management, and personal accountability.
• Demonstrated persistence, resourcefulness, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Confidence to take ownership of outcomes throughout the entire process.
• Willingness to travel for in-person hearings, firm training, meetings, and other firm-sponsored activities.
• Proficiency with Mac/Apple operating systems.
• Competence in Microsoft Office 365.
• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience using timekeeping and case management software.
• Proficiency in legal research applications.
• Submission of a cover letter, resume, and at least three professional references is required for application.
