• Accountable for the development and expansion of technology infrastructure and cyber security within the United States, collaborating with company leadership to formulate and implement a strategic and tactical business plan across various business units.
• Establish and grow a market-oriented business line, enhancing revenue through client engagement, capture strategies, and partnerships in the transportation, utilities, water, defense, and critical infrastructure sectors.
• Act as the cyber and digital risk advisor to Departments of Transportation (DOTs), utilities, and infrastructure owners—providing guidance on secure-by-design architectures, resilience planning, regulatory compliance (such as NIST, CISA, FedRAMP), and incident preparedness.
• Maintain comprehensive market awareness and deliver market and competitive analysis.
• Support organic growth by identifying and recruiting key hires to secure and deliver projects in the region.
• Identify, lead, and engage in significant pursuits and teaming strategies.
• Represent and promote the company at networking events, professional and industry associations, society meetings, conferences, and trade shows.
• Actively engage on social media platforms to enhance our brand and collaborate with communications on external thought leadership articles and campaigns.
• Oversee performance management, succession planning, training, and career development; maintain thorough skill and credential repositories; involve Fellows for on-the-job development.
• Manage the resourcing strategy to support the delivery of the US long-range plan, including attracting, retaining, and deploying technical talent from graduates to senior levels.
• Enhance capabilities through mergers and acquisitions. Identify and assist in the acquisition or integration of relevant multi-market targets, delivering value from acquisitions in line with our established business case.
• Collaborate nationally with, at a minimum, senior leadership from the Technology, Strategy & Advisory, Roadway, Bridges, Tolling, and Planning, Engagement & Urban Design (PEUD) MMS teams to strengthen the business surrounding digital infrastructure and cyber security applications.
• Continuously support and assess market and client needs to identify trends, opportunities, and the competitive landscape.
• Proactively identify and develop solutions and innovative methodologies to present to markets and Key Account Managers (KAMs), especially in collaboration with the Technology and Innovation team.
• Cultivate strong market awareness and brand visibility through client and industry interactions, involvement in professional organizations, and thought leadership.
• Work alongside Market leaders on workplans, schedules, budgets, and risk management; ensure adherence to QA/QC, safety, and compliance with AtkinsRéalis procedures and policies.
• Provide advice on complex technical issues in conjunction with regional and global Subject Matter Experts (SMEs); promote lessons learned and continuous improvement.
• Propel technology and innovation across each market, ensuring that solutions from one market are evaluated and implemented across all.
• Continue collaboration with the program management team to establish and enhance an internal “center of excellence” that utilizes existing ATRL best practices and digital innovation in Global Program Management.
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, science, construction, engineering, or a related field, or 20+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Over 15 years of experience in technology infrastructure within the public or private sector.
• Extensive knowledge of clients and infrastructure markets within the region and country.
• Familiarity with and connections to state and local governments, private sector entities, and the consulting community in the market.
• Self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
• Analytical thinker with a strong focus on tactical execution.
• Proven team-building and collaboration abilities, thriving in a highly cooperative team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge and experience in pursuing alternative delivery opportunities, including design-build, Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR), and Public-Private Partnerships (P3s).
• Established relationships with state technology leaders, other consulting firms, and contractors to facilitate opportunity development and collaboration.
