Mortgage Loan Officer – VA/MD/NC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Assists in the mortgage lending process by filling out loan applications

• Submits documentation for processing

• Provides outstanding customer service

• Collaborates closely with Senior Mortgage Loan Officers and Sales Managers

• Conducts telephone, mail-away, and in-person Loan Applications with clients

• Authorizes loan disclosures for distribution

• Identifies the appropriate program placement for loan files

• Prices loans and secures rates according to Company policy

• Reviews applications and related documents for completeness and compliance

• Runs AUS and examines findings along with necessary documentation

• Prepares requested Pre-Qualifications

• Orders credit reports, appraisals, and title requests

• Follows up with clients and referral sources

• Keeps applicants informed throughout the processing period

• Submits loan files in accordance with stated turnaround times

• Manages a pipeline of all loans in progress

• Supports all parties, including the Processor, during the entire process

• Achieves or surpasses minimum production targets

• Attends all settlements to gain insights into the complete loan life cycle

• Develops an annual Business Plan

⛳️ Requirements

• 0-2 years of experience in mortgage or financial services preferred

• Equivalent industry experience accepted if evaluated favorably by the Sales Manager

• NMLS registration is mandatory

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Eagerness to learn about mortgage products and underwriting standards

• Self-driven with a strong desire for personal growth

• Capacity to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
