Mortgage Loan Officer – Long Island/Westchester NY

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Originate and sell residential mortgage loans to meet sales objectives.

• Process residential mortgage loan applications and negotiate terms effectively.

• Oversee customer expectations and assist them throughout the mortgage application journey.

• Generate referrals to create new mortgage sales opportunities.

• Ensure all applications are thoroughly completed and forwarded to underwriting.

• Communicate loan outcomes and finalize the loan commitment process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or relevant progressive work experience.

• At least 2 years of experience in mortgage origination.

• Demonstrated sales capability.

• In-depth knowledge of the mortgage industry, including products, lending practices, and regulatory standards.

• Excellent time management skills.

• Proficient in PC skills, with the ability to learn mortgage origination and automated underwriting systems.
