Mortgage Loan Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota.

📋 Description

• Initiate and oversee the purchase mortgage loan process from application through to closing, ensuring adherence to all compliance requirements.

• Transform company-generated purchase leads into funded loans through proactive engagement and effective borrower consultations.

• Cultivate robust relationships with clients, and, when relevant, with Zillow Preferred Agents and local partners.

• Maintain an active pipeline while achieving set service levels, productivity benchmarks, and funding goals.

• Utilize Zillow’s CRM, loan origination systems (LOS), and analytical tools to monitor pipeline health and enhance customer interaction.

• Collaborate with centralized processing, underwriting, and closing teams to facilitate efficient loan movement.

• Provide a consistent, high-quality customer experience via phone, email, and text communications.

• Remain updated on market trends, lending programs, and regulatory changes to offer customized financing solutions.

• Keep active licensing, fulfill educational requirements, and engage in ongoing professional growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of mortgage origination experience, particularly focused on purchase transactions.

• Completion of the 20-hour CORE Pre-Licensing Education and successful completion of the SAFE Mortgage Loan Originator Test – National Component with Uniform State Content.

• Demonstrated success in originating purchase loans within either a high-volume, phone-based sales environment or an agent-centric referral framework.

• Strong client service orientation paired with consultative sales skills and a comprehensive understanding of the mortgage process.

• Ability to thrive in a structured, performance-oriented setting with well-defined KPIs.

• Exceptional verbal communication skills and a talent for quickly building trust.

• Strong organizational, time management, and pipeline management abilities.

• Proficiency in CRM, LOS, and Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel).
