Mortgage Loan Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Generate residential first and second mortgage loans by cultivating relationships with members and potential borrowers.

• Act as a trusted consultant, providing mortgage solutions that align with the financial objectives of members.

• Develop and sustain a pipeline through networking, outreach, and relationship cultivation.

• Assist borrowers throughout the mortgage process from application to closing, ensuring a seamless experience.

• Collaborate with processors and internal teams to facilitate loan progress and ensure timely closings.

• Maintain effective communication with members while identifying chances to cross-sell additional products and services.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in residential mortgage origination.

• Familiarity with mortgage lending regulations, including RESPA, Reg Z, ECOA, and secondary market guidelines (FNMA/FHLMC).

• Capability to review and assess borrower documentation such as credit reports, tax returns, and appraisals.

• Excellent relationship-building, sales, and communication skills.

• Well-organized and self-driven, with the ability to manage a pipeline effectively in a remote setting.
