Mortgage Loan Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to the loan processing and underwriting teams.

• Assesses loan requests, analyzes financial information, and evaluates the qualifications of collateral and customer credit history.

• Maintains communication with loan customers, updating them on loan progress and collecting any necessary documentation.

• Structures loans to adhere to acceptable lending practices and comply with Federal regulations.

• Engages in proactive outreach via outbound calls and emails to marketing prospects, along with the capability to respond promptly to customer inquiries, whether online or via phone.

• Responds to customer calls and business partner referrals to discuss various loan products and qualification details.

• Conducts sales calls to potential or existing customers as outlined in the Regions marketing strategy to generate new business or retain current clients.

• Cross-sells additional bank products and services.

• Reviews surveys and appraisals and takes necessary actions to rectify encroachments and violations.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).

• Previous experience in Sales.

• Previous experience in Customer Service.

• Aspiration for a career in Mortgage Banking.

• Ability to learn and provide consultation on a variety of mortgage products.

• Ability to understand mortgage systems and technology.

• Demonstrated consultative sales skills.

• Strong organizational capabilities.

• Must be capable of building and nurturing internal and external relationships to deliver exceptional service.

• Must be able to manage multiple competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong commitment to consistently delivering world-class customer service.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
