Mobile QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Taking ownership of QA processes and developing documentation from the ground up.

• Formulating risk-based testing strategies, plans, traceability matrices, and test cases by employing best practices.

• Conducting functional, regression, exploratory, upgrade, and smoke testing across various device configurations.

• Executing backend and integration testing with Postman, Swagger, and log inspection to ensure data integrity.

• Observing and verifying network traffic using Charles Proxy or Proxyman.

• Submitting comprehensive defect reports in Jira and working closely with developers on triage and resolution efforts.

• Assisting in release readiness sign-off, compiling test-run summaries, and playing a role in go/no-go decisions.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of overall QA experience.

• 2 to 3 years of specialized mobile QA experience with iOS and/or Android applications (native or cross-platform, such as Flutter).

• A portfolio showcasing distinct mobile-focused projects.

• Experience in the Fintech, Trading, Banking, or Payments sectors.

• Strong understanding of test documentation, including test plans, traceability matrices, test cases, and checklists.

• Proficiency in Charles Proxy or Proxyman for network traffic analysis and API validation — this is essential.

• Experience in API testing with Postman and the capability to interpret Swagger/OpenAPI specifications.

• Practical experience with Firebase and Sentry for logging and monitoring purposes.

• Familiarity with GitLab workflows, covering merge requests, pipelines, and CI/CD processes.

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.

• A process-driven mindset focused on organizing, documenting, and enhancing QA practices continuously.

• A background in backend/API testing, particularly with Python services, is an advantage.

• Previous roles as a QA lead, manager, or analyst are considered a plus.
