Mobile Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and develop new features within our cross-platform TypeScript React Native application and Golang backend APIs.

• Oversee our release processes, utilizing tools such as cohorting, feature flags, and app-store infrastructure to ensure a secure deployment to our millions of active users.

• Sustain a strong collaborative relationship with product, design, and business teams to ensure that stakeholder requirements are assessed and fulfilled.

• Collaborate with the team to consistently create clean, scalable, robust, and testable code.

• Acquire an in-depth understanding of your application, data domain, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional mobile development experience, with at least 2 years in React Native or a similar technology such as Flutter.

• Proficient in native code for iOS (Swift/ObjC) and Native Android (Kotlin/Java).

• Experience in developing and delivering mobile applications to both Apple and Google’s app stores.

• Comprehensive knowledge of React Native architecture, including hooks, context, navigation patterns, and performance optimization.

• Strong familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing (Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox, Appium, etc.).

• Capability to lead features from start to finish — encompassing requirements, design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and enhancement.

• Experience in mentoring junior or mid-level engineers.

• Proficient in conducting high-quality code reviews with a focus on maintainability, clarity, and best practices.

• Influences technical decisions, suggests improvements, and enhances code quality throughout the team.

• Works effectively with product managers, designers, backend teams, and QA.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science.

• Proven experience with Claude or similar large language model tools is essential; candidates should be adept at utilizing AI to boost productivity, research, and communication.

• Knowledge of mobile CI/CD pipelines (Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions, etc.).
