This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Oversee all elements of DDC controls projects, including defining scope, planning, resource allocation, scheduling, budgeting, and managing risks.
• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, assess project needs, and ensure that project goals and objectives are aligned.
• Exhibit a solid understanding of DDC controls systems, building automation technologies, and industry best practices.
• Work closely with engineering teams to review design documents, ensure adherence to specifications, and provide expertise in DDC controls integration and programming.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to acquire necessary equipment, components, and software.
• Develop and execute quality assurance processes to ensure DDC controls systems comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
• Create and maintain precise project documentation, including project plans, schedules, progress reports, change orders, and as-built drawings.
• Supervise the commissioning and testing of DDC controls systems.
• Lead project teams by offering clear direction, setting performance objectives, and promoting a collaborative work environment.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DDC controls systems, and recommend improvements to processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in project management, ideally in DDC controls systems or building automation.
• Strong understanding of DDC controls systems, including knowledge of programming languages such as BACnet, LonWorks, or Modbus.
• Proficient with project management methodologies and tools.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements in the building controls sector.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is an advantage.
• Knowledge of energy management and sustainability practices is preferred.
