Mobile Building Engineer

📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive inspections and repairs for plumbing, electrical, or HVAC systems within the building(s).

• Oversee the maintenance of heating and cooling systems, including chillers, DX units, pumps, packaged rooftop units, residential-style split systems, fan coil units, VAVs, and air distribution systems.

• Supervise and fine-tune all mechanical/pneumatic machinery, steam stations, control gauges, distributor panels, valves, thermostats, diffusers, and other essential equipment to ensure a comfortable environment for the buildings.

• Assess field conditions and execute any necessary repairs or adjustments.

• Oversee Energy Management initiatives.

• Repair doors, ceilings, hand railings, and floors, while also executing additional carpentry and painting tasks throughout the property.

• Carry out preventive maintenance responsibilities.

• Document and report all activities to the supervisor.

• Respond promptly to emergencies and customer inquiries.

• Adhere to all relevant codes, regulations, governmental agency requirements, and company policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience operating HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems within a commercial property environment.

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

• Completion of an apprenticeship program or trade school is preferred.

• Possession of necessary licenses/permits for the trade, as required (e.g., Journeyman or Master Electrician License, City Licenses, Refrigeration Certificate of Fitness, High Pressure Boiler License, etc.).

• Basic computer skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.

• Familiarity with energy management systems, techniques, and operations.

• Extensive knowledge of all building systems operations, maintenance, and repair procedures.
