Mobile Building Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee the effective operation and upkeep of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems for designated properties.

• Execute all plumbing, electrical, or HVAC tasks required by the building(s).

• Maintain heating and cooling equipment, including DX units, pumps, fan coil units, VAVs, air distribution systems, light commercial package units, and split system units.

• Monitor and adjust all mechanical equipment to ensure a comfortable environment within the buildings.

• Carry out preventive maintenance tasks in accordance with C&W standards, building protocols, manufacturer guidelines, and industry best practices.

• Inspect electrical rooms, IT rooms, back-up generators, fire pumps, sump pumps, and ejector pumps as needed.

• Document and report activities to the supervisor.

• Respond promptly to emergency situations and customer inquiries.

• Complete all mandatory C&W Safety Training as scheduled each year.

• Adhere to the C&W Uniform Dress Code while on duty.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• Completion of an apprenticeship program or trade school is preferred.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in managing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property environment.

• Possession of the appropriate license/permit for the trade as necessary, such as a Journeyman or Master Electrician License or City Licenses.

• Certification as a Universal Technician for CFCs, based on local licensure requirements.

• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

• Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.

• Experience in the operation, maintenance, and basic repair of HVAC systems, heaters, pumps, refrigerant systems, compressors, and water systems.

• Familiarity with energy management systems, techniques, and operations.

• Comprehensive knowledge of all building system operations, maintenance, and repair.
