Mobile App Quality Control Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Indonesia.

📋 Description

• Install and set up testing software on Android devices and Windows laptops.

• Connect Android devices to laptops via USB cables and carry out guided testing scenarios.

• Conduct functional testing on various Android devices and Android OS versions.

• Adhere to testing protocols provided by the engineering team to validate the functionality of applications.

• Assess application behavior, data capture precision, and overall system performance.

• Execute regression testing following bug fixes and application updates.

• Identify, document, and report bugs, issues, and observations in a clear and organized manner.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to testing.

• Engage in regular review meetings with the engineering and product teams.

• Effectively communicate testing results and recommendations.

• Assist with application setup, device compatibility testing, validation, issue identification, routine testing, regression testing, application-update validation, and issue monitoring.

• Work approximately 20 hours per week for the first 3–4 weeks, followed by approximately 10 hours per week ongoing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Residing in Indonesia.

• Proficient in using Android smartphones and Windows laptops.

• Basic knowledge of mobile applications, software installation, and fundamental troubleshooting.

• Ability to accurately follow detailed testing procedures.

• Comfortable installing and utilizing testing tools with support from the engineering team.

• Strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities.

• Able to consistently reproduce issues and document findings clearly.

• Must have access to at least one Android smartphone (Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, Google Pixel, or similar).

• Access to a Windows laptop with a reliable internet connection.

• Ability to connect an Android device to a laptop using a USB cable.

• Previous experience in Mobile App Testing, Software QA, Technical Support, Software Validation, UAT, or a related field is advantageous.

• Familiarity with bug reporting tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Bugzilla, or similar) is preferred.

• Native or fluent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia.

• Basic to intermediate English communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently in a remote setting.

• Detail-oriented and methodical in approach.

• Comfortable working with technology and mobile applications.

• Able to work autonomously while adhering to clear instructions.

• Reliable, responsible, and dedicated to meeting project deadlines.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
