Mission Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• In the role of Mission Manager for Cyber, you will work alongside Cyber Tech Leads to create a technical roadmap aimed at achieving Mission outcomes with Mission Heroes.

• Act as the primary Mission Manager for a Cyber Domain Delivery Initiative.

• Partner with Cyber Leads to define the technical roadmap for Mission Outcomes in collaboration with Mission Heroes.

• Ensure alignment of Defense Unicorns’ Product Roadmaps with the technical roadmap for your Hero, while providing insights to the Product segment regarding Mission timelines for feature adoption.

• Collect and share feedback from the Delivery segment with the Product segment about Defense Unicorns’ OSS projects and productized services.

• Collaborate with Tech Leads to create a unified Delivery roadmap that aligns with Product roadmaps.

• Adhere to company best practices when developing Delivery solutions.

• Manage and balance priorities among users, customers, stakeholders, and the team to deliver scalable mission value.

• Comprehend the contracts related to Cyber Delivery Effort(s).

• Support Mission Hero engagements throughout the contract process for initiating, continuing, or expanding work.

• Cultivate an environment that promotes Unicorn growth, mentorship, and coaching within the team.

• Encourage an atmosphere where the values and principles of Defense Unicorns can flourish.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen and capable of obtaining TS/SCI clearance.

• Skilled in identifying pain points and translating them into root cause problems, collaborating with engineers to create a roadmap for value delivery.

• Knowledgeable in contemporary software development processes and practices, including DevSecOps, Continuous Delivery, and User-Centered Design.

• Experience in managing cross-functional engineering teams.

• Proficient in managing expectations across various personas.

• Passionate about software delivery for Mission Success within the tech industry or Department of Defense.

• Possess sufficient technical understanding to grasp architectural decisions and communicate them effectively to stakeholders, users, and the team for alignment.
