This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• This role involves providing engineering support for the design, construction, and modification of crude and refined product pipelines as well as terminal facilities.
• Execute projects under the guidance of senior engineers to ensure operations are safe, reliable, and compliant.
• Utilize relevant ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, 49 CFR Parts 192 and 195, NFPA 30, API standards, and company-specific standards for both new and existing facilities.
• Develop scopes of work, estimates, schedules, and engineering deliverables for assigned projects.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, calculations, and equipment specifications.
• Provide support for instrumentation, controls, SCADA, and leak detection system design.
• Assist with project budgeting, cost tracking, and schedule management.
• Support projects from initial concept through design, construction, commissioning, and turnover phases.
• Coordinate with and support EPC contractors and vendors.
• Engage in PHA, MOC, PSSR, and incident investigations.
• Conduct field investigations and troubleshoot operational issues related to pipelines and terminals.
• Aid in stress analysis, hydraulic reviews, and equipment evaluations.
• A minimum of five years of experience in pipeline, terminal, or related midstream facilities.
• Proficient understanding of pipeline systems, petroleum transfer operations, and process control.
• Strong skills in engineering, communication, and organization.
• Preferred Experience: Background in the pipeline or petrochemical industry; familiarity with engineering software such as PipelineStudio.
• Essential ability to manage projects effectively.
• Working knowledge of commonly used engineering concepts with the analytical ability to apply this knowledge.
• Essential to stay updated on new technology developments and processes.
• Effective communication skills with a strong verbal component; advanced reading and writing capabilities; ability to perform complex mathematical calculations.
• Advanced capability to collaborate effectively with multiple groups across the refinery.
• Strong knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing applications; exceptional interpersonal, time-management, and organizational skills; capacity to provide training on various relevant topics to multiple groups.
• Familiarity with various process hazard analysis and root cause analysis methodologies is required for the Process Safety Engineering discipline.
