This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania, +2 more states.
• Design and create scalable, high-performance backend systems utilizing **Java 21** and **Spring Boot**.
• Develop and enhance **REST APIs** in accordance with software architecture best practices.
• Operate within a **microservices architecture**, ensuring both modularity and maintainability.
• Oversee builds and dependencies with **Gradle**.
• Compose and uphold automated tests using **JUnit**, **Mockito**, and **AssertJ**.
• Maintain code quality through analysis with **SonarQube** and by participating in code review processes.
• Utilize **GitLab** for version control and manage **CI/CD** pipelines.
• Containerize and deploy services leveraging **Docker** on **AWS**.
• Implement logging mechanisms using **Logback** / **SLF4J** and oversee system monitoring with **Grafana**.
• Manage asynchronous event-driven communication through **Kafka**.
• Work with **PostgreSQL** as the main database and utilize **Redis** for caching purposes.
• Enforce robust security principles and best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an agile setting.
• Demonstrated professional experience in **Java** development with a solid technical foundation.
• Expertise in **Java 21** and **Spring Boot**.
• Familiarity with **Gradle** for build and dependency management.
• Practical experience with **JUnit**, **Mockito**, and **AssertJ** for testing purposes.
• Knowledge of **SonarQube** for ensuring code quality.
• Strong background with **GitLab** and **CI/CD** pipeline management.
• Experience with **Docker** for containerization.
• Hands-on experience with **AWS** cloud services.
