Mid/Senior Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Offer expert advice on intricate multi-jurisdictional corporate and regulatory issues while negotiating business and strategic requirements and agreements.

• Guide product teams on compliance matters related to DeFi and AI. Perform regulatory research and inform the business about the most relevant implications of these regulations for each of our business lines.

• Organize Archon Financial’s operations and partnerships from both corporate and contractual viewpoints.

• Oversee, evaluate, and counsel the business on legal and regulatory challenges that affect product development.

• Regularly assess operational risks and legal obligations to provide exceptional support as Archon Financial and Skybase’s enterprises expand.

• Advise on and structure sophisticated commercial crypto transactions involving cryptocurrencies.

• Manage collaborations with external local counsels across various jurisdictions to obtain clear, actionable insights efficiently and cost-effectively.

• Work collaboratively across business units and product-related functions to tackle complex business and risk challenges.

• Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders in the Sky Ecosystem who collaborate with Archon Financial or influence our projects.

• Engage in other legal projects: based on skills, interests, and company needs, you may participate in a diverse range of legal topics, including RWAs, intellectual property, employment, corporate initiatives, and other in-house legal matters.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal qualification with active bar admission.

• At least 7 years of experience serving as a Legal Counsel, preferably within the web3 sector.

• Demonstrated capability to navigate multi-jurisdictional legal frameworks.

• Proficiency with crypto-asset regulations.

• Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy in legal drafting and analysis.

• Ability to maneuver through complex governance structures.

• Strong organizational skills with a history of managing intricate client matters.

• Excellent analytical abilities and a proven knack for problem-solving.

• High level of self-discipline and the ability to excel in a remote work setting.

• Team-oriented mindset with a dedication to knowledge-sharing and collective success.
