Mid/Senior CFX Artist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and produce exceptional 3D hair, beards, fur, feather, and cloth simulations, ensuring a captivating final character performance.

• Collaborate closely with the Director and the team to identify optimal technical and creative CFX solutions that align with production requirements and the artistic vision of the project.

• Possess a solid understanding of hair styling and cutting techniques.

• Create dynamic rigs for characters’ hair and clothing.

• Work in partnership with Animators, Effects, Lighting, and Modelling teams to synchronize character, simulation, and effects interactions while addressing any necessary corrections.

• Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and independently in a fully remote setting, taking on the vital responsibility of prioritizing and managing multiple tasks while maintaining initiative.

• Exhibit excellent communication skills.

• Be a strong team player who fosters a collaborative and inviting atmosphere.

• Show a proven track record of meeting deadlines, managing workloads within budget, adhering to production schedules, and delivering assignments punctually.

• Ensure alignment with the project's style and sensibility as well as the Director's vision.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5+ years of professional experience in either animated TV series or feature animation films.

• In-depth knowledge of Yeti for grooming and Qualoth/nCloth/nHair for simulation.

• Familiarity with other solvers is an advantage.

• Strong visual and artistic skills along with a comprehensive understanding of various cloth behaviors, weights, and draping.

• Knowledge of anatomy, physical behaviors, and realistic motion principles.

• Operate effectively within the established pipeline while providing constructive suggestions to enhance the process.

• Ability to receive and implement feedback constructively to achieve the desired quality.

• Exhibit anticipation and quick reactions for effective problem-solving.

• Demonstrate strong autonomy and proactivity in your work.

• Maintain a keen attention to detail.

• Possess outstanding interpersonal and collaborative skills.
