This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.
• Design, implement, and oversee Red Hat OpenShift clusters in both physical and virtualized on-premises environments.
• Take charge of systems engineering initiatives associated with OpenShift infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development teams to containerize applications and enhance deployment and release workflows.
• Construct and maintain CI/CD pipelines utilizing OpenShift and related DevOps tools.
• Automate operational and deployment tasks through Ansible and various scripting tools.
• Execute patching and upgrades of OpenShift clusters, ArgoCD, GitLab CI, and corresponding components.
• Design, implement, and uphold backup, disaster recovery, and redundancy strategies.
• Engage in on-call/standby rotation to support critical platform and infrastructure services.
• Assist with daily operations including trend analysis, root cause analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of platform issues.
• Implement and uphold security best practices, encompassing RBAC, vulnerability management, and compliance controls.
• Enhance alerting, monitoring, and observability capabilities across OpenShift and associated systems.
• Produce and maintain current documentation, including architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and runbooks.
• Provide knowledge transfer, mentorship, and training to colleagues on OpenShift, GitLab, and related infrastructure technologies.
• 4+ years of relevant professional experience or equivalent certifications, including Red Hat OpenShift.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in deploying, operating, and maintaining OpenShift/Kubernetes platforms in enterprise or on-premise settings.
• Strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines, particularly with GitLab CI and/or Jenkins.
• Solid foundation in Linux system administration, especially with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Practical experience in infrastructure automation using Ansible or similar tools.
• Scripting abilities in Bash and/or Python for automation and operational tasks.
• Familiarity with GitOps practices and tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
• Upper-intermediate level of English proficiency, both spoken and written.
