This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Contribute to a culture of success by enhancing the instructional program through both asynchronous and synchronous teaching in whole group, small group, and one-on-one settings;
• Complete all grading, lesson planning, and communications with students and parents promptly;
• Collaborate regularly with fellow educators (i.e., Professional Learning Communities) to create and update Personal Learning Plans, assess student performance, provide feedback on assignments, and refine teaching methods and strategies;
• Acquire a broad understanding of the K-12 curriculum alongside an in-depth knowledge of the specific courses for which you are responsible;
• Review the curriculum and develop alternative methods for presenting lesson content to enhance student comprehension (working directly with students and parents);
• Assist students and parents with alternative strategies and support them with daily assignments and projects;
• Maintain regular communication with parents and students via the Learning Management System and phone;
• Keep student records and data current, including cumulative files, online student and family information, attendance records, and communications with students and parents;
• Consult with fellow teachers, school staff, and the leadership team to create enrichment activities and modifications to students’ programs to boost understanding and engagement;
• Collaborate with the Engagement and Counseling Departments to ensure that students and families receive timely and appropriate communications, monitor student progress, and ensure that established goals are achieved;
• Support Individualized Education Plans for students in the courses for which you are responsible;
• Participate in professional development opportunities;
• Create and implement digital methods for fostering a “school community” in your courses;
• Work with other educators and school staff to organize social events and relevant field trips for students;
• Manage field trips and strive to incorporate them into the curriculum;
• Attend field trips and other community activities organized for students and families;
• Participate in the organization and administration of State Assessments and other school events as assigned;
• Engage in student recruitment sessions and other marketing initiatives that require teacher representation;
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
• Must be highly qualified and certified to teach Middle School and/or High School in Pennsylvania
• Endorsements in English Learner or multiple subject areas are advantageous
• Must be a resident of Pennsylvania
• Experience teaching in a cyber learning environment is a plus
• Strong technological skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products and Google Suite
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
• Highly organized and punctual
• Student-focused

• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated record as a collaborative team player
• Willingness to travel for state testing, school functions, and marketing events (may involve overnight travel)
• Availability to work occasional evening hours as necessary to support students and families
