Middle QA Automation Engineer – Playwright, Cypress

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Evaluate functional requirements and estimate QA efforts while engaging in team planning sessions;

• Create and sustain Test Scenarios, Test Cases, and Test Plans, and carry out test executions;

• Execute UI, back-end, and mobile functional testing;

• Develop and uphold UI automation frameworks using Playwright and/or Cypress;

• Interact with REST APIs and Web Services, incorporating tests into CI/CD pipelines;

• Update and manage the team's project knowledge base and documentation;

• Work collaboratively with the team to assess and enhance QA processes and best practices;

• Conduct peer evaluations of the work done by QA team members;

• Engage in regular meetings with team members across different locations;

• Oversee onboarding and knowledge transfer for newly hired QA Engineers;

• Allocate tasks, prioritize testing efforts, and oversee the workload within the QA team;

• Establish and continually refine QA processes and testing standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing, with a degree in Computer Science or a related discipline;

• In-depth knowledge of the SDLC, testing models, and methodologies, particularly Agile/SCRUM;

• Practical experience with UI automation testing utilizing Playwright and Cypress;

• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript;

• Familiarity with HTML and CSS;

• Experience with CI/CD processes (such as CircleCI) and REST/Web Services;

• Strong understanding of QA theory: testing methods, levels, types, and techniques;

• Knowledgeable in test artifacts including test scenarios, test cases, test plans, test strategies, reporting, and metrics;

• Experienced in using JIRA for test management and issue tracking;

• A collaborative leader with previous experience in managing or mentoring a QA team.
