Middle Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Development of frontend web applications.

• Creation of NodeJS microservices.

• Innovating and developing new concepts from the ground up.

• Collaborating with product designers and fellow developers to design and launch new features collectively.

• Crafting high-quality, accessible, and efficient interfaces using designs and wireframes from Figma.

• Collaborating with backend engineers to implement application programming interfaces (APIs).

• Conducting testing to guarantee high-quality user experiences.

• Writing reusable components and custom logic while ensuring comprehensive test coverage.

• Engaging in code review processes.

• Reducing technical debt while strategically pursuing progress with new features.

• Assisting in team scaling and fostering our engineering culture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in building complex web applications from scratch, utilizing Javascript, React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Proficient in Node.js back-end development (preferably with TypeScript).

• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Cypress, Jest, or Playwright.

• A degree in Computer Science is required.

• Ability to meet deadlines for deliverables.

• A passion for learning and engaging with open source code, contributing to other projects.

• Strong organizational skills and capability to work in an agile environment.

• Enjoyment of a balanced work approach, combining autonomy with close collaboration with peers through pairing sessions and architecture design discussions.

• Analytical skills to evaluate solutions and contribute to establishing sound architecture.

• Proficient written communication skills in English are essential.

• Experience working remotely and/or in leadership roles is a plus.

• Previous involvement in maintaining open source software (especially libraries or frameworks) is advantageous.

• A strong interest in cloud computing and a belief in the potential of decentralization and blockchain technology to transform the infrastructure landscape.

• Ability to thrive in a startup environment, enjoying work within a small, cross-functional team where hands-on contributions are valued.
