Mid-Senior Quality Assurance, QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain thorough test plans and test cases for web applications and backend APIs.

• Conduct thorough manual testing of features and demonstrate proficiency in creating testing scenarios and test cases.

• Collaborate closely with development, design, and product teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and issues.

• Define and track key quality metrics to ensure ongoing product reliability and enhancements in performance.

• Generate comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, bug reports, and insights on user experience.

• Utilize tools such as ClickUp, TestRails, Browserstack, and Datadog for issue tracking, test case management, and performance analysis.

• Act as a key stakeholder in release readiness, coordinating with teams to facilitate seamless production deployments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in software quality assurance.

• A proven track record of overseeing end-to-end QA processes specifically for web applications. (This position focuses on web application testing rather than mobile app QA.)

• Experience in developing test frameworks and formulating test strategies, plans, and cases.

• While familiarity with mobile support systems is advantageous, it is not a requirement.

• Must be adept at working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment utilizing agile development methodologies.

• Capability to mentor and assist in establishing the QA team.

• Experience working closely with both development and support teams in a cross-functional setup.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

• Proficiency in the English language is required.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• A strong sense of ownership and initiative.

• An empathetic team player who excels in a collaborative environment.

• Experience in a startup setting, especially at the Series A or B stage, is highly desirable.
