Mid-Level Process Mechanical Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the creation of intricate mechanical piping designs and equipment layouts utilizing Revit and AutoCAD.

• Coordinate P&IDs and piping specifications, ensuring that designs are precise and align with project requirements.

• Engage in cross-discipline model coordination and clash resolution to ensure seamless design integration.

• Produce comprehensive process mechanical and piping drawings, guaranteeing they meet the necessary levels of detail at project design gates and milestones.

• Take responsibility for valve and equipment scheduling, ensuring thorough documentation and accurate scheduling.

• Potentially mentor junior team members, offering guidance and support for their professional growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Generally requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in process mechanical design or a related field.

• Proven experience in executing complex technical support or production/manual tasks.

• Strong expertise in using Revit and AutoCAD for design purposes.

• Extensive knowledge of process mechanical piping design and the layout of process mechanical equipment.

• Proficient in coordinating P&ID and piping specifications.

• Strong skills in cross-discipline model coordination and clash resolution.

• Advanced understanding of the required level of detail at project design gates and milestones.

• Preferred: 5-10 years of experience in municipal and/or industrial projects, preferably in water and/or wastewater treatment plant settings.

• Familiarity with Microstation, in addition to Revit and AutoCAD, is advantageous.
