This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver development assistance, conceptual design, and owner’s engineering services to clients.
• Conduct technical assessments of electric power generation projects and facilities.
• Assist in project economic analysis, cost evaluations, risk assessments, and contract formulation.
• Execute engineering design reviews.
• Carry out technical due diligence.
• Aid in project development and conceptual design for thermal power initiatives.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Guide others in resolving engineering challenges from identification to resolution.
• Establish expectations for utilizing data and contemporary tools such as automation and AI to enhance workflows, minimize rework, and deliver cost-efficient designs.
• Supervise automation and process enhancement tasks, including the automation of calculations, summarization of technical documents, and creation of design documentation.
• Provide guidance on the effective use of AI or agentic AI tools while ensuring the accuracy of results.
• Oversee engineers who are programming or scripting in Python, MATLAB, or advanced Excel to automate engineering activities and review the outputs of these automations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electric power industry.
• Proficiency in the detailed design of mechanical systems for thermal power projects.
• Experience in providing development assistance and conceptual design for thermal power projects.
• Exceptional technical communication and writing abilities.
• Must not require employer sponsorship for work authorization in the U.S.
• Experience in technical due diligence and owner’s engineering design reviews for thermal power projects is preferred but not mandatory.
• General knowledge of power station operations and performance reviews is appreciated but not essential.
• Basic understanding of process design in electric power generation facilities is beneficial but not required.
• Experience in economic analysis, cost evaluations, and contract development is advantageous but not required.
• Familiarity with international design codes and standards is a plus.
• Willingness or ability to lead teams using data, automation, and AI tools.
• Effective management of automation and agentic AI-enabled engineering processes.
• Experience overseeing automation in Python, MATLAB, or advanced Excel is valued but not mandatory.
• Additional education, such as a minor, certificate, or experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related fields is appreciated.
