Mid-level Employment Lawyer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to HR and management on recruitment, performance management, disciplinary actions, terminations, accommodations, leave policies, and investigations.

• Offer counsel on issues related to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other sensitive employee matters.

• Create and revise HR policies, handbooks, and procedures, including collaboration with local counsel for international locations.

• Advise on compliance with wage and hour regulations, including classification, overtime, timekeeping, and pay practices.

• Design and implement HR and employee training programs on essential employment topics.

• Keep track of legal developments and make necessary updates to policies, processes, and training programs.

• Assist with commercial and corporate matters as required, including contracts with employment-related provisions.

• Contribute to the development of legal templates, playbooks, and process enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in the U.S. state bar in your primary residence.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in employment law, with a preference for candidates who have experience in both large law firms and in-house positions.

• Strong background in employment counseling (more focused on employment rather than traditional labor) with experience in wage and hour issues.

• Experience collaborating with HR and providing training for employees and managers.

• Familiarity with international employment matters and experience working with foreign counsel.

• Demonstrated excellent judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment.
