Mid-Level Electrical Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Report to a designated Task Manager and assist with assigned estimating tasks and deliverables.

• Create independent construction cost estimates for electrical scopes based on plans, specifications, and relevant contract documents.

• Review and interpret project documentation and requirements to formulate detailed estimate assumptions and quantity takeoffs.

• Engage in estimate development activities, including analyzing scope, quantities, and constructability considerations.

• Validate pricing and ensure the estimate details align with the project delivery phase.

• Assist in reconciliation discussions and conduct estimate reviews.

• Support negotiation efforts by evaluating pricing, scope alignment, and cost drivers.

• Coordinate with internal team members and stakeholders to guarantee estimates are thorough, consistent, and well-documented.

• Aid in maintaining historical cost data and estimating resources to facilitate future estimates and benchmarking.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in electrical cost estimating for construction projects.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

• Solid understanding of construction cost estimating practices, including quantity takeoffs and the development of estimate basis/assumptions.

• Proficient in Microsoft 365 (entire suite), with strong spreadsheet skills for cost estimating and historical data collection.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
