Mid-Level Analyst/Developer, Java, Artificial Intelligence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the existing platform, including its modules, components, integrations, and business rules.

• Conduct technical analysis of Java applications without initially altering the source code.

• Facilitate meetings, interviews, and discovery sessions with users, managers, technical leads, and other stakeholders.

• Collect, organize, and document both functional and non-functional requirements.

• Map processes, user journeys, information flows, business rules, and inter-system dependencies.

• Identify limitations, risks, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.

• Produce and maintain both functional and technical documentation.

• Develop architecture, component, integration, flow, and data model diagrams.

• Organize and prioritize needs for improvement.

• Support the design of architecture and technical guidelines for new solutions.

• Assess modernization options and transition strategies.

• Utilize generative AI tools for analysis and documentation purposes.

• Create and refine prompts for extracting, organizing, comparing, and consolidating information.

• Employ AI to convert interviews, transcripts, documents, and technical information into structured artifacts.

• Critically assess AI-generated content, identifying errors, inconsistencies, and unverified information.

• Ensure security, privacy, confidentiality, and data protection while utilizing AI.

• Present evaluations, recommendations, and proposals to both technical and business teams.

• Collaborate on the development of a plan for incremental platform evolution.

• Proven experience in systems analysis and requirements gathering.

• Practical experience with generative Artificial Intelligence tools.

• Capability to leverage AI in analysis, documentation, and software engineering tasks.

• Experience in creating, testing, and refining prompts.

• Ability to technically validate AI-generated content.

• Understanding of the limitations, hallucinations, security, and privacy considerations related to AI utilization.

• Proficiency in applications developed with Java 8 and Java 11.

• Familiarity with Spring MVC and Spring Boot.

• Knowledge of Hibernate and HQL.

• Understanding of Oracle 19c databases.

• Knowledge of Thymeleaf and JSP.

• Experience with functional and technical documentation.

• Familiarity with web application architecture.

• Understanding of data modeling.

• Ability to map APIs, integrations, and dependencies.

• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and SOLID principles.

• Proficiency with Git, Jenkins, and Flyway.

• Knowledge of unit and integration testing.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to engage with both technical and business teams.

• Organizational skills, critical thinking, and autonomy suitable for a mid-level role.
