This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Conduct manual testing on an interactive, web-based weather visualization platform.
• Ensure that weather-data features, such as radar, map layers, and storm patterns, function properly and are accurately displayed.
• Engage in live testing events during tornado occurrences.
• Detect, document, and effectively communicate any bugs or anomalies.
• Work alongside the development team to verify bug resolutions and enhance usability.
• Propose enhancements based on insights from weather data and user behavior.
• Currently enrolled in a meteorology, climatology, environmental sciences, or a weather-related program, or a self-taught weather aficionado with a profound understanding of radar maps, forecasting models, and storm tracking.
• Familiarity with various weather applications and data sources.
• Inquisitive, attentive, and detail-oriented, with a natural ability to identify discrepancies.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to document bugs clearly in English.
• Proficient in using web tools and navigating across different browsers and devices.
• Knowledge of QA principles, such as exploratory testing and regression testing (considered a plus).
• Experience with bug tracking or task management tools (considered a plus).
• Basic understanding of data feeds or weather APIs (considered a plus).
