MERS Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Delivers Tier 1 support for applications related to MERS, including the resolution of issues.

• Aids clients in navigating the system effectively.

• Escalates complex cases when necessary to ensure prompt resolution.

• Conducts MERS Annual Reviews as a third-party auditor, ensuring accuracy and compliance within specified timeframes.

• Works collaboratively with MERS members to meet monthly data reconciliation standards using the mintrak2 system.

• Monitors and addresses client requests through the MERS Services email inbox, providing timely resolutions to application support inquiries.

• Keeps current knowledge of process and regulatory changes, as well as MERS guidelines related to MERS requirements.

• Identifies gaps in member processing and offers recommendations to rectify deficiencies concerning MERS compliance.

• Assists with the onboarding and implementation of new clients, including initial setup and troubleshooting of applications.

• Supports monthly reporting needs for clients, reviews for discrepancies, and ensures data accuracy and compliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in mortgage loan processing, servicing, or application support is necessary.

• Strong understanding of MERS compliance requirements is essential.

• Previous experience in Tier 1 support, application troubleshooting, or a technology-related field is preferred.

• Experience in working with large data sets and performing data reconciliation is a plus.

• Capability to read and interpret documents such as company policies.

• Ability to compose reports and client communications effectively.

• Prior experience in a support or service role interacting with clients/customers is beneficial.

• Exceptional communication skills at all staff levels are required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel and Word.
