This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong.
• Take ownership of and oversee the complete merchant (seller) lifecycle, which encompasses onboarding, activation, growth, dormancy, and reactivation, to promote ongoing engagement and GMV growth.
• Develop and refine frameworks for merchant operations, including segmentation and tiered management strategies aimed at enhancing supply quality.
• Spearhead merchant acquisition and onboarding initiatives, creating scalable channels to source sellers (e.g., platform migration, partnerships, community/referral programs).
• Manage a substantial supply side consisting of over 10,000 active merchants, ensuring a robust ecosystem and diverse supply.
• Design and nurture a vibrant merchant community, focusing on culture development and cohort-based (circle/layered) operations to boost engagement and retention.
• Implement merchant growth initiatives, which include training, enablement tools, incentives, and traffic support.
• Collaborate across functions with product, data, and marketing teams to enhance the merchant experience and optimize platform efficiency.
• Lead efforts for international expansion, incorporating multi-language and multi-region strategies for merchants.
• Demonstrated experience in a marketplace setting, with practical exposure to buyer operations, merchant/seller operations, and/or community operations.
• Strong comprehension of the merchant lifecycle (Onboarding to Activation to Growth to Dormancy to Reactivation).
• Experience in managing over 10,000 active merchants on the supply side.
• Proven success in merchant acquisition and scaling supply, including the identification and development of sourcing channels.
• Substantial experience in community building and cohort-based operations; a verified ability to promote engagement and loyalty.
• Not limited to brand marketing or conventional B2C business development; a strong platform and supply-side operations mindset is essential.
• Bilingual in English and Chinese, with experience in international markets or global operations.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, utilizing a data-driven approach to decision-making.
