This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in implementing merchandising strategies aimed at achieving sales, margin, and inventory turnover objectives across various client accounts.
• Oversee weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting concerning sales performance, inventory trends, product effectiveness, and actionable business insights.
• Handle purchase order entry, tracking, and on-order reporting to guarantee timely product deliveries in accordance with sales and inventory plans.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot SKU libraries across POS systems and client internal platforms, which includes:
• Product setup
• Pricing management
• Category management
• Product imagery uploads
• Daily system troubleshooting and maintenance
• Collaborate with the Accounting team to assist with invoicing processes, reporting needs, and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closure activities.
• Work cross-functionally with the Head of On-Site Retail, Director of Merchandising, Planning & Allocation teams, Client Services, and Buying teams to support business goals and operational execution.
• Communicate effectively and coordinate with internal stakeholders, including planners, allocators, product teams, and client partners, to ensure alignment on merchandising initiatives.
• Aid in the development and management of merchandise assortments in collaboration with the OSR team and vendor network, aligning with consumer trends, market opportunities, and business objectives.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors and cross-functional teams to enhance product knowledge, category insights, pricing negotiations, and merchandising opportunities.
• Support the analysis of market, competitive, economic, and consumer data to pinpoint risks, opportunities, and future merchandising strategies that bolster overall business growth.
• Perform competitive retail analysis through store visits, market research, and trend analysis across national and global retail landscapes, translating insights into actionable merchandising recommendations and product opportunities.
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a merchandising/Buying role.
• Demonstrated creativity in spotting business opportunities and resolving issues.
• Strong analytical skills with the capability to draw comparisons from various sources.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence partners and critical business decisions.
• Outstanding written communication skills. Proven ability to synthesize financial information into a clear narrative and convey it to different levels of leadership.
• Capability to meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
• Self-motivated individual with inherent curiosity and the ability to make business decisions both collaboratively and independently as required.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and retail reporting tools.
• Experience with Shopify, POS Systems, and SKU Management is preferred.
