Mental Health Physician Assistant/NP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct telehealth follow-up consultations for psychiatric medication management in elderly patients.

• Monitor treatment efficacy and modify medications while considering age-related risks, polypharmacy, and medical comorbidities.

• Administer cognitive screenings and evaluations (e.g., MoCA, MMSE, or similar instruments).

• Create initial care coordination and behavioral support plans.

• Work closely with nursing staff who will provide continuous monitoring and patient assistance.

• Communicate with the supervising psychiatrist as necessary.

• Ensure timely and precise documentation within the EMR.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be licensed and certified as a Physician Assistant or PMHNP in California (required).

• Experience in geriatric psychiatry, long-term care, or dementia care is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with cognitive assessment tools and behavioral management techniques.

• Comfortable providing care through telehealth platforms.

• Strong clinical judgment regarding polypharmacy, fall risk, and medication safety for older adults.

• Capability to collaborate effectively within a team-based care framework.
