This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Professionally and courteously respond to incoming patient phone calls.
• Manage the scheduling, rescheduling, and confirmation of patient appointments.
• Provide assistance to patients regarding general inquiries and appointment-related issues.
• Address follow-ups on missed appointments and facilitate rescheduling efforts.
• Confirm patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Distribute and collect necessary patient forms.
• Carry out general medical receptionist and administrative tasks.
• Handle billing processes and prior authorization requests.
• Collect patient copays and outstanding balances efficiently.
• Follow up with patients concerning missed appointments.
• Preferred prior experience in healthcare, medical office, or patient-facing roles.
• Experience with billing, prior authorizations, or insurance verification is preferred.
• Proficiency in using EHR/EMR systems is required.
• Strong preference for experience with Tebra.
• Experience in a mental health practice is a plus.
• Previous virtual assistant experience is preferred.
• Must be fluent in spoken and written English, with clarity in communication.
• Relevant work experience is essential.
• Required to submit an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check prior to onboarding.
• Availability for video meetings with the camera on, as needed.
