Mental Health Group Facilitator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Fulfill all onboarding requirements within two weeks of your start date.

• Schedule monthly check-ins with your designated Charlie Health Group Quality Supervisor or Group Quality Director, at least once a month.

• Promptly respond to all email and Slack communications within 48 hours of receipt.

• Review the curriculum associated with your group assignment prior to the start time.

• Arrive approximately 10 minutes early to the scheduled group session and conduct all groups for the full hour.

• Lead group sessions adhering to Charlie Health best practices while utilizing the latest assigned curriculum.

• Facilitate groups across various age demographics and cohorts, including Integrative curriculum, Support Staffing, and Wellness Hour as required.

• Encourage client engagement and group cohesion during sessions, promoting participation and a camera-on culture.

• Adhere to all operational policies and procedures as outlined by Charlie Health best practices.

• Engage in collaborative Treatment Team meetings (Tuesdays) and Group Supervision (every other Friday) with your assigned Charlie Health Group Quality Supervisor or Group Quality Director, peers, and other members of the Clinical Leadership team.

• Collaborate respectfully with the care team, including Primary Therapists, Care Experience Specialists, and Care Coaches.

• Communicate clearly, professionally, and promptly with clients, staff, families, agencies, and referents.

• Ensure your treatment documentation is completed within the required 24-hour timeframe, meeting agency and professional standards as per DHCS and The Joint Commission guidelines.

• Uphold and demonstrate professional ethics, including maintaining appropriate boundaries and confidentiality.

• Perform other duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Availability during late afternoons and evenings on weekdays (3-8pm MT from Monday to Thursday) and on Saturdays to accommodate our adolescent and young adult clients.

• A Master’s degree in mental health or a related field is required (see below for a complete list).

• Experience working with youth and young adults is essential.

• Proficient in various modalities and confident in integrating them into your treatment strategies (DBT, CBT, EMDR, and MI certification is a plus).

• Enthusiastic about the advantages of group treatment and skilled in delivering group therapy.

• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

• Creative and engaging, particularly in a virtual setting!

• Technical proficiency to conduct effective telehealth sessions.

• A reliable WIFI connection is necessary for meeting with clients.

• Familiarity with and willingness to utilize cloud-based communication tools—Gmail, Slack, Zoom, Dropbox—alongside EMR and outcomes survey software on a daily basis.

• This is a part-time 1099 role.
