This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• The Patient Advocate will manage a range of intricate inbound and outbound inquiries to support and empathize with our clients.
• Responsible for coordinating testing services for patients by evaluating test request forms and additional documentation submitted with a patient specimen to guarantee accurate and timely testing.
• Collaborating with healthcare providers to finalize the necessary documentation and sample submission.
• Verifying insurance eligibility and benefit levels.
• Interacting with patients to clarify insurance coverage benefits and test information, including processes and turnaround times.
• Employees will spend approximately 60-80% of their time on the phone.
• Independently handle assigned tasks while meeting production and quality metrics.
• Serve as the central point of contact across all departments: collaborate with technology, revenue cycle, field sales, and lab teams for the prompt management of orders and billing processes.
• Recognize issues and trends, working alongside your team and leadership to formulate best practices that ensure we deliver exceptional service and experience to all customers.
• Engage in the Quality Assurance plan.
• Adhere to relevant CLIA and HIPAA regulations.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required, with at least 1 year of pertinent experience, or an associate or bachelor’s degree.
• Proficiency in Spanish is preferred and encouraged.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Preference will be given to applicants with a higher net typing speed.
• Excellent listening, transcription, and self-review skills.
• Proficient in PC usage, including familiarity with Excel, Word, the Internet, and email.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently, often under pressure.
• Strong organizational and task management skills along with professional judgment.
