Mental Health Coach – Emotional Fitness, Recovery Support

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver short-term coaching to a caseload of program participants through weekly virtual video coaching sessions and/or text communications.

• Offer recovery coaching to individuals in the substance use disorder program, encompassing the assessment of treatment needs, conducting up to three weekly coaching sessions, and aiding in relapse prevention.

• Lead weekly recovery group sessions.

• Conduct follow-ups for the LSUD program for a duration of up to two years.

• Create personalized coaching plans that address the distinct sub-clinical needs of participants, including aspects like meditation, mindfulness, sleep wellness, and relapse prevention strategies.

• Provide mental health advocacy and assistance in navigating higher levels of care for participants requiring counseling or therapy.

• Help facilitate referrals to other employer-sponsored health management resources when suitable.

• Engage in active case management responsibilities.

• Execute timely follow-ups to ensure participants are connected to care, satisfied with the program, and to evaluate service outcomes and impact.

• Keep accurate and thorough records in accordance with state, HIPAA, ethical, and departmental standards.

• Work full-time, committing to 40 hours per week.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s Degree in a Mental Health Discipline (e.g., Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy).

• Clinical Licensure to Practice Independently in One or More States.

• Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) certification.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish.

• At least Two Years of Direct Counseling Experience Utilizing Evidence-Based Treatment Methods.

• Minimum of 3 Years’ Professional Experience in Substance Abuse Treatment Settings, Delivering Direct Treatment to Participants.

• Experience in Providing Mental Health Coaching through Virtual (Video) Platforms.

• Proficiency and Comfort with Technology for Remote Training and Work (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Contact Management Systems, Web-Based Software, Soft Phone).

• Capability to Maintain a Full Coaching Caseload.

• Prior Experience with Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) is an advantage.
