• Extensive hands-on experience with Bazel — including writing and maintaining rules, macros, and toolchains.

• Understanding of remote caching and build optimizations.

• Proven experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Buildkite.

• Proficient in dynamic pipelines, agent fleet management, and build-time optimization.

• Strong proficiency in Python, covering packaging, dependency management (uv/pip/Poetry), and virtual environments.

• Experience integrating Python and ML/research codebases into a monorepo build system.

• Proficient in Go.

• Experience in writing backend services.

• Familiarity with developing CLI applications and internal developer tools.

• Expertise in debugging issues on Linux, including network and process-related challenges.

• Experience with containerization using Kubernetes.

• Familiar with both managed and self-hosted Kubernetes environments.

• Knowledge of AWS services.

• Comfortable managing IAM policies and ensuring appropriate permission settings.

• Hands-on experience with Terraform or OpenTofu for managing complex AWS environments.

• Skilled in observability and monitoring tools and practices.

• Experienced in incident response protocols and best practices.

• Comfortable collaborating within a larger infrastructure team — sharing on-call responsibilities, contributing to incident responses, and building tools that other engineers rely on.
