This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• You will be a part of our Console team, dedicated to developing the control plane and management UI that drives every poolside deployment within a customer setting.
• The Console serves as the operational foundation for enterprise instances, providing the interface through which platform teams provision, configure, monitor, and engage with their poolside deployment.
• You will work in close collaboration with our infrastructure and product engineering teams, with your role positioned at the convergence of backend systems, orchestration, and the user-facing layer.
• On a daily basis, you will design and construct the APIs and backend services that support the Console, implement telemetry in those systems to provide operators with deep insights into deployment health, and contribute to the frontend where necessary to complete the loop.
• Your work will encompass real production concerns such as reliability, observability, and correctness, alongside forward-thinking platform design as poolside expands into more enterprise environments.
• A solid understanding of AI Agents, agent orchestration, harness engineering, or a strong desire to develop expertise in this field.
• Strong foundations in computer science — you demonstrate confidence in reasoning about algorithms, data structures, and system design, applying that depth to ambiguous engineering challenges.
• Proven backend engineering experience in building production APIs and services; our technology stack primarily utilizes Go for the backend and Svelte for the frontend, but we are genuinely open to engineers from diverse backgrounds.
• Familiarity with infrastructure and orchestration: you have experience with containerized workloads, understand service deployment and operation, and ideally possess some experience with Kubernetes.
• Comfortable working across the entire stack: you are capable of navigating a frontend codebase and delivering a UI feature when necessary, even if your primary strength lies in backend development — or vice versa.
• Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and the operational tools associated with them — including monitoring, alerting, and CI/CD.
• A collaborative, low-ego mindset: this team works closely across product, infrastructure, and research engineering, yielding the best results through rapid, open iteration.
• Fully remote working arrangements & flexible hours.
• 37 days per year of vacation & holidays.
• Health insurance allowance for you and your dependents.
• 16 weeks of flexible, full-pay parental leave.
• Well-being, continuous learning, & home office allowances.
• Company-provided equipment.
• Regular team gatherings.
• A diverse and inclusive, people-first culture.
