
MEL Analyst/Manager – Impact Evaluations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Assist in the execution of Generation’s third-party impact evaluation program across Colombia, India, and Ghana.
• Oversee daily evaluation tasks such as managing timelines, tracking deliverables, and following up with vendors.
• Act as the main point of contact between D&I, country program and data teams, as well as external evaluation vendors.
• Aid in the design of surveys, piloting processes, and logistics for data collection in collaboration with country teams and vendors.
• Keep evaluation trackers, indicator frameworks, and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) documentation up to date.
• Perform initial analyses of survey and monitoring data; identify issues related to data quality, patterns, and gaps.
• Convert data findings into concise summaries and internal briefs for D&I leadership.
• Establish and nurture relationships with in-country data and program teams; ensure effective coordination across different time zones.
• Contribute to D&I analytics and impact operations workstreams as workload permits.
• 3–5 years of experience in monitoring & evaluation, research, consulting, analytics, or related fields, with substantial exposure to MEL.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with MEL frameworks, development of indicators, data collection techniques, and theories of change.
• Excellent project management and coordination abilities; comfortable managing timelines, trackers, and workflows involving multiple stakeholders.
• Proficient in working with data and survey tools (Excel is essential; knowledge of SQL, Alchemer/Qualtrics, or Power BI is advantageous).
• Capability to work independently amidst moderate uncertainty.
• A strong intellectual curiosity and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Spanish (both written and spoken) and strong professional command of English; able to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders in a bilingual context.
