This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.
• Schedule appointments and facilitate communication with patients.
• Verify insurance and process claims efficiently.
• Coordinate referrals as necessary.
• Manage and maintain patient records.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and partners.
• Address patient inquiries through phone, email, and messaging platforms.
• Manage incoming faxes.
• Handle email and text communications, including sorting and responding.
• Prioritize administrative support related to billing.
• Act as a coordinator for both providers and patient care.
• Assist with activities related to remote patient monitoring.
• Exceptional communication skills in both Spanish and English (both verbal and written).
• A minimum of one year of experience in medical front office, medical administration, or care coordination roles.
• Strong background in healthcare administration.
• Familiarity with Elation or similar EMR systems is advantageous.
• Excellent customer service and patient engagement skills with a focus on scheduling, coordination, and support.
• Professional and polished phone demeanor.
• Patient, compassionate, and courteous attitude.
• Highly detail-oriented and meticulous.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Must be proficient in clearly speaking and writing in both Spanish and English.
• Relevant work experience is required.
• Must provide an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check prior to onboarding [mandatory].
• Availability for video meetings with your camera on when necessary.
• Device: A reliable laptop or desktop computer is required.
• Internet: A high-speed connection (minimum of 25 Mbps) is essential.
• Audio: A noise-canceling headset is required.
• Video: A webcam is necessary for virtual meetings.
• Workspace: A quiet, professional environment is needed.
