This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +1 more state.
• Act as a scientific representative for the medical and scientific community.
• Build, nurture, and sustain relationships with key experts and clinicians across the United States.
• Collaborate and engage with medical thought leaders, academic institutions, large group practices, medical directors, managed care decision-makers, and pharmacy directors.
• Convey scientific and medical information along with the commercial benefits of products to both medical and internal/external audiences.
• Gather, synthesize, and relay customer feedback.
• Align customers’ unmet needs with available internal resources.
• Work together with various functional areas on opportunities related to scientific, medical, and health economic information.
• Identify potential speakers and prepare them on scientific content for sponsored external speaking engagements.
• Engage in conferences, meetings, and scientific events to support strategic objectives, gather competitive insights, monitor clinical trends, and sustain relationships with investigators.
• Assess opportunities for external clinical research collaborations and facilitate both investigator-initiated and company-sponsored trials.
• Keep track of competitive advancements, trends, therapies, treatments, products, and features; provide insights to senior leadership.
• Doctorate with 2 years of experience in Medical Affairs, or a Master’s degree with 6 years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience in Medical Affairs.
• Preferred qualifications include Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. (other doctoral degrees will be considered).
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to network effectively.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% for territory management, conferences, workshops, and company meetings.
• Capability to work up to 15-hour days during travel when necessary.
• Proficient in learning new business applications and hardware tools such as PC and iPad.
• Competent in Microsoft Office.
