This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop and sustain essential scientific knowledge to facilitate credible communication with external experts (EEs) and other healthcare professionals (HCPs), fostering the establishment of professional relationships.
• Engage in and monitor assigned investigator-initiated studies (IIS), clinical trials, and medical projects within the relevant therapeutic area (TA).
• Provide scientific assistance and help cultivate relationships with external experts and academic institutions.
• Deliver credible presentations regarding scientific topics to HCPs, whether individually or in group settings.
• Attend pertinent scientific meetings and conferences, creating summaries of key data presented.
• An advanced degree is required; Doctorate, PharmD, or MD.
• Relevant business experience and a solid understanding of the biotech/pharmaceutical sector.
• Prior experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is preferred.
• A background in Eye Care/Ophthalmology is regarded as an advantage.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing position within the healthcare industry.
• Experience in presenting and/or interpreting scientific or clinical research publications.
• Familiarity with scientific methods utilized in clinical research and current legislative/regulatory frameworks.
• A strong interest in developing and maintaining expertise in the assigned therapeutic area/product and medical research in general.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
• Comfortable with technology, including the use of various tools and systems for daily tasks.
