Medical Science Liaison / Senior Medical Science Liaison

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as a reliable scientific resource for healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, patient advocacy organizations, and research investigators.

• Increase awareness of both current and emerging therapies through strategic scientific exchange and collaboration.

• Provide field insights that influence medical strategy.

• Establish and nurture relationships with national and regional medical and scientific thought leaders, patient advocacy groups, and centers of excellence.

• Engage thought leaders in discussions about research, medical information, scientific exchange, and education.

• Support research trial sites and facilitate the development of investigator-initiated research proposals.

• Cultivate and maintain scientific, clinical, and therapeutic expertise regarding Acadia’s portfolio.

• Collaborate across functions with Regional Business Leaders and Account Business Managers while adhering to compliance guidelines.

• Identify disease concepts and compound characteristics that can aid in product differentiation.

• Offer scientific, clinical, and educational support to both internal and external clients.

• Represent Acadia at continuing education events, medical meetings, and conventions.

• Assist Commercial operations through Speaker and Sales Representative Training.

• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure precise delivery of medical and scientific information.

• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced degree in a scientific discipline or related field (MD, PharmD, or PhD).

• At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.

• Experience in therapeutic areas such as rare diseases, epilepsy, neurology, or psychiatry.

• Expertise in scientific, clinical, and therapeutic areas.

• Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations, compliance requirements, and clinical research practices.

• Understanding of healthcare market dynamics and customer segments.

• Proven ability to communicate complex scientific and medical information effectively.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Willingness to travel up to 75% within the assigned territory.

• Primary residence must be within the assigned territory.

• For the Senior Medical Science Liaison level: 7 years of progressively responsible experience, including 3 years as an MS.
