
Medical Science Liaison β Rheumatology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.
β’ Engage effectively with key thought leaders and healthcare professionals.
β’ Exchange scientific information with external parties in a fair, accurate, and balanced manner.
β’ Report field intelligence to Sobi, including insights on competitors, perspectives regarding compounds, disease states, and the treatment landscape.
β’ Support Sobi's clinical development and operations teams through site recommendations, site initiation visits, communication facilitation, and accrual support activities.
β’ Take part in and/or lead advisory board meetings at local, regional, and national levels.
β’ Deliver internal and external training on preclinical science, clinical data, and outcomes.
β’ Represent Sobi at medical conferences, engaging healthcare professionals and providing scientific coverage.
β’ Provide cross-functional support across the organization within established guidelines, serving as a scientific resource.
β’ Cultivate and maintain an advanced understanding of relevant studies, compounds, and diseases to facilitate discussions with leading rheumatology and nephrology thought leaders.
β’ Consistently uphold a high standard of excellence in managing the assigned territory while also supporting and contributing to the success of colleagues and the MSL organization as a whole.
β’ An accredited doctorate degree in a life-science or basic-science discipline (PharmD, PhD, MD/DO, DSc, DNP).
β’ Ability to comprehend and effectively communicate scientific information; respond to inquiries and address the needs of key stakeholders.
β’ Proven success in managing internal and external stakeholders, as well as leading or influencing cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment, demonstrating strong teamwork and collaboration.
β’ A demonstrated track record of strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
β’ Excellent written and oral communication skills to clearly articulate strategy and narrative.
β’ Proven capacity to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
β’ Ability to initiate and sustain relationships within the medical community.
β’ Demonstrated capacity to build constructive relationships with cross-functional team members.
β’ A high level of personal integrity, emotional intelligence, and adaptability.
β’ Understanding of the highly regulated biopharmaceutical industry, including the legal and regulatory environment.
β’ At least 1 year of MSL experience preferred.
β’ Experience in relevant clinical practice, disease state knowledge, and rare diseases preferred.
